If you are into cross country skiing then the Snow Farm is the place to visit. It has more than 50kms of well groomed trails situated in the Pisa Range to suit a wide range of skiing abilities and ages. |
If you haven’t tried cross country skiing before then the Snow Farm does have lessons available from an international ski instructor. There are two ski huts available on the trails that are great if you want to take advantage of some night skiing – all you need is your own food, torch and a sleeping bag.
Another great feature of the Snow Farm is the Tubing Park. The Tubing Park has six runs – all different in terms of expertise needed and difficulty. The Snow farm can hire you all of the equipment you need to sled or tube your way down the trails (including head gear and safety equipment for children.
The Alpine Lodge has a ski-in, ski-out feature that is very popular. The Lodge is used by professional skiers from the Northern Hemisphere looking to do some off season training; by family groups who want to stay for the fun – parents can watch their children skiing while they are sitting with a nice cup of coffee; and individuals who just love what the park has to offer.
Bus’s travel from Wanaka to the Snow Farm every day over the winter season and are the ideal way to start your snow holiday.
