As the name suggests Treble Cone is spread over three large basins close to Wanaka and it is a great Ski Resort. Whether you are a learner who can be swept away on the Magic carpet lift or someone who hones their skills on the Black runs before breakfast the Treble Cone Ski Resort has facilities for everyone. |
Treble Cone has 21 trails and a terrain park. It has 2 chair lifts and 2 surface lifts and a snowmaking machine. Although there isn’t any accommodation available at Treble Cone itself Wanaka is just down the road 20kms away and there is a restaurant and bar at the resort.
Treble Cone is an ideal place for learners who can enjoy a large gentle sloping practise area near the base of the resort. This is groomed every night and can be accessed by a platter lift so you don’t have to contend with a chair lift on your first time out. The other trails, for intermediate and advanced users can access their trails via the chairlift to Tims Table which takes you up to more than 45 acres of intermediate and advanced trails; all available via lift access.
